8 chains offer free coffee on Wednesdays

Here’s a reason to get up and shine on a Wednesday morning: free coffee.

September 29th is National Coffee Day, and many popular chains celebrate the “holiday” by handing out free cups of coffee, free coffee essentials or even free coffee of the year.

In some cases, the drink is really free, but some offers may require a food purchase or rewards membership.

Noticeable: Before heading out, consider calling ahead to make sure locations in your area participate in these offers.

Bigby coffee

Get one free 20-ounce hot coffee of your choice on September 29th.

Panera rewards hardworking parents and caregivers with unlimited free coffee on Wednesdays. “Just tell Panera at the cashier or through the car that you’re a parent or caregiver, and you’ll receive free coffee all day,” the chain says.

To celebrate National Coffee Day And On its 50th anniversary, Starbucks is filling up free Pike Place Roast brewed coffee mugs. To get your free drink, bring a clean, reusable glass (up to 20 ounces) inside participating stores. (This freebie is not available during the drive-thru or upon pre-order in the Starbucks app.)
