Amazon Kindle fans, rejoice! The retail giant unveiled three new Kindle Paperwhite e-readers today.
Anyone who already owns the Paperwhite may be tempted to upgrade.
The new Kindle Paperwhite comes with a larger 6.8-inch glare-free display — an increase from the 6-inch screen in the old version — and up to 10 weeks of battery life. The new device also features adjustable warm lighting, USB-C charging, and 8GB of storage. It retails for $139.99.
An alternative version – the first Kindle Paperwhite Signature – includes an auto-light sensor, 32GB of storage and wireless charging – making it the first Kindle with wireless charging. It retails for $189.99.
You can pre-order the devices now. They will start shipping on October 27.
For a limited time, your purchases come with a free four-month Kindle Unlimited membership. This membership includes access to more than 2 million e-books.
Parents with young readers in their home can also purchase the new Kindle Paperwhite Kids.
It comes with a larger screen, a kid-friendly bag, and one year of Amazon Kids+, which includes access to thousands of books. The device also features the ability to look up word definitions, a vocabulary builder, and parental controls. Retail price is $159.99.
As with the other new Paperwhites, you can pre-order the Kids model now, with shipping starting October 27.
The Paperwhite might just be the perfect holiday gift for the book lover in your life. But you don’t need a Kindle to read e-books. For more, check out:
