Bring the details of the entry policy upon request from the ICEGATE portal

One of the common issues that an importer of goods encounters is that the entry invoice does not appear on the GSTR – 2B form.

To address this, the portal has introduced a new functionality where taxpayers/importers can fetch records from the ICEGATE portal. In this context, a new feature and advisory version has also been released by GSTN to facilitate taxpayer understanding.

  1. To help importers of goods, recipients of supplies from SEZs, find entry bill details, which are not auto-filled in GSTR-2A, a self-service function has been provided on the GST portal that can be used to search such records in the GST system, and fetch missing records from ICEGATE.
  2. Please note that it normally takes 2 days (after the reference date) for BE details to be updated on the GST portal of ICEGATE. Therefore, this function should be used if data is not available after this period.
Note: The reference date will be either the off-duty date, the fee payment date, or the modification date – whichever is later.
  3. Taxpayers can follow these steps to fetch the required details:
    1. Login to the GST Portal
    2. Go to Services > User Services > BoE Search
    3. Enter the port code, entry voucher number, entry bill date and reference date and click research button.
Note: The reference date will be either the off-duty date, the fee payment date, or the modification date – whichever is later.
    4. If the BoE details do not appear in the search results, click ICEGATE query A button, at the bottom of the screen, to run a query to ICEGATE.
    5. The history of the BoE details fetched from ICEGATE is displayed with the status of the query 30 minutes after the start time of the query.
  4. for type records IMPG (import of goods), details: period of form GSTR-2A (statement of supplies received by the system); reference date; Entry bill details such as port code, BoE number, BoE date and taxable value; The tax amount will be displayed.
