Collection of Goods and Services Tax Revenues for September 2021

The total GST revenue collected in September 2021 is
1,17,010 crore including CGST 20,578 crore, SGST is 26767 crore, IGST is 60911 crores (Including ₹ 29,555 crore collected on import of goods) and taxes are
₹8,754 crore (Including Rs 623 crore collected on import of goods).

The government settled ₹28,812 crore to CGST and ₹24,140 crore to SGST from IGST as a regular settlement. The total revenue of the Center and the States after regular settlements in September 2021 is INR 49,390 crore for CGST and ₹ 50,907 crore for SGST.

The average monthly GST collection for the second quarter of the current year was Rs 1.15 thousand crore, which is 5% higher than the average monthly collection of Rs 1.10 thousand crore in the first quarter. This clearly indicates that the economy is recovering at a rapid pace. Besides economic growth, anti-evasion activities, particularly actions against counterfeit billers, have contributed to improved GST packages. The positive revenue trend is expected to continue and the second half of the year is expected to record higher revenue

The Center also issued a Goods and Services Tax (GST) reimbursement of Rs. 22,000 crores to countries to close the GST revenue gap.
